Humping on this humpday…barely. These weeks are literally dragging by, but in fast motion. Does that even make sense? Lol So what about Monday’s post? Let me explain.I was tired.I had a busy weekend and I am learning that life exists outside of the blog. One of my besties graduated with her nursing degree so Saturday I was kicking back with her and my other besties and still had to find time to shoot. With summer rolling around the corner, there was no better idea than shooting my cool summer kickback look at my friend’s kickback/grad party. Mixed prints are kick back and war weather approps, always! You are there to have a good time, and if you are extra (like moi) you don’t mind everybody scoping your outfit. Tropical leaf print is the season’s new denim, so pair it accordingly. Akanra, gingham, animal print, stripes, spots, graphic tee, all in coordinating colors will do the job. Oh look who made a special appearance? The one and only Renee (aka Nay Nay). She has been snaggletoothed since the beginning of the school year.I told her God doesn't bless kids with adult teeth if they are bad.Yea, I'm that kind of mom *smirk.I know she is almost as tall as me , but she is still mommy's little baby. Besides you know how great picking up your child is? Talk about a full upper body workout lol. Congrats to my bestie Kayneynia Burney on completing her nursing degree! So proud of you and I have always admired both your massive booty and your work ethic! lol The only pic of us at her graduation celebration.I got too buzzed to remember to take any good ones. Honestly she chose the perfect profession. She is now an official Real Ni$%^--oh, that's not what it stands for? Well, it should. She always been the realest! I know it's for registered nurse guys, ok? My Ankara top is an exclusive of Midget Giraffe and I have partnered with them to bring you this amazing blouse. Ruffles are a force to be reckoned with this season and off the shoulder has shown in mainstay ability. The duo of Midget Giraffe incorporated these details when making this top, but what sets it apart is the pattern and bold colors.Everything is handmade and this top is currently sold out but head over to their site to see what goodies they have.(click the hyperlink above) Speaking of bold, you likey my shoes? As the unspoken queen of the occasional extra (sorry Leandra of Man Repeller) my yellow satin mules were just not doing it enough for me.So I dug through my mountain of accessories and grabbed some pins from Forever21 and the amazing brooch sent to me by NettysGlitz. I know the pins don’t necessarily match, but that is the beauty of it. Asymmetrical patterns are the new symmetrical this season.Deal.with.it. Shop my brooch and similar below and make a bold shoe statement! NettysGlitz sell all these below and they always have free shipping! Repeat customers get 10% as well. *sidenote if you get the brooch I have be sure to make you are ready for you shoes to jingle all the way wear where ever you go lol. This brooch is a dangler. Shop mules below starting at $$16! Today's look is inspired of course, by a special black queen. Not only does she slay, she does it for a change.#slayforachange is a campaigned she ignited during fashion week using her style to highlight the lack of diversity on the catwalk. If you are a fashion lover and love fashion week recaps you have seen her handiwork plastered on the likes of your fave fashion pages.Shayla Janel is a melanin filled unicorn and I celebrate not only her fight in fashion, but her personal amazing "random and chic" style, and can I just say how absolutely beautiful she is ? Can I though? Queen, your style is refreshing and unique .I love the fact that your fashion makes a statement other than "hey look at me!". Continue to be the stunning, beautiful, amazing, queen you are shining for the world to see. Much love, Caribbean Cowgirl (your blogger pal).*hugs Follow her on IG @randomandchic
