I have been a repeat offender lately. So in the spirit of the repeat I am slaying the shoulder game once again! My black and white bandage off the shoulder top (Shein, $10..old) perfectly complimented my khaki culottes (Romwe, old).I wanted to go with a Safari type theme so I laced up my snakeskin Zara pumps (old) and grabbed my backpack purse from Shein ($20) to add a pop of color. I kept my accessories simple by pairing my statement necklace from Chanel styles ($10) with some old wooden bangles. We all know I love I good ol' statement piece. This is really where my straw pom pom hat (BCBG, $38..old) came into play. Not only does it coordinate color-wise with my top and pants, but it is also such a fun eye-catching piece that really seals this look. Today you are all in for a special treat. I have collaborated with some other fantastic bloggers from around the world and they are also baring shoulders. Take a look below on how they all rock the off the shoulder trend: Ig names from top left to right: @stylebykaka , @kaiye_marie , @thebeningirl
second row: @styles_by_tsc, @styled_into_fashion , @dafsstyles last row: @cam_withlove Earlier this week I gave a bit of cold shoulder action , but I'm taking it a bit further and exposing all of them shoulders and clavicle bone! My amazing off the shoulder faux sleeve tie up blouse was a deal at only $17.99 from Romwe.com. I was so excited to get this blouse and my brain was buzzing with so many ways to wear it. I wanted to keep the color palette cool, so I paired my new fave blouse with these super cute faux suede olive flares from GoJane.com. I lucked up and got them for $4.95 and they had free shipping that day as well ( I'm such a bargain finder , right? *pats self on the back). I had originally only gotten them because they were so cheap and olive is such a great color, but when they arrived I wasn't sold on them. Inspired by Zara's black flare pants, I grabbed the scissors and cut a nice little triangle out of the front and they instantly became my new pair of summer sexy go-to pants. The hem of the pants call for a flat or short heel , so I pulled out my leather stacked heel sandals from Zara. They are from about 2 summers ago and this is the first time I am wearing them. They were another one of my 'got them because they were cheap' purchases. They were originally $119, but I snagged them for $19.99 at the wee end of Zara's semi annual sale.I live for a good deal as I am sure you may already know if you frequent my blog. Speaking of deals, let me inform you of my new destination for discounted luxury goods. I was minding my business on Facebook, and an add pops up for therealreal.com.I clicked it and now I'm obsessed! They feature brand new and gently used authenticated designer brands like Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Givenchy, and Christian Louboutin, just to name a few at upwards of 80% off retail! My bamboo Gucci bullet bag (from the Tom Ford era of Gucci), which originally retailed for $1,400, was now about to be mine for $385 with 20% off. I gave no second thoughts and added it to my cart so fast and checked out in less than 2 minutes flat. If that is still steep for your budget, no worries they offer a finance plan where you can break down the price into monthly payments as well. Are you sold yet? Well if not, more for me. Accessories: Sunglasses -Amazon.com (Celine inspired) $4 Bangles- thrifted Earrings-$3.80 Romwe.com My top and pants are still available here are the links http://www.gojane.com/112351.html http://www.romwe.com/Off-The-Shoulder-Faux-Sleeve-Tie-Striped-Top-Blue-p-168135-cat-670.html It's officially summer and I am as ready as SpongeBob! Carolina summers are hot and humid to the max , but I am used to it and know how to handle it. I will be beating the heat by giving it the cold shoulder with my $13 white cold shoulder dress from Shein. Today I am featuring a fun , flirty summertime look with a bit of a bad girl twist by adding a dark lip and 'bad girl' leather choker from Fashionably Not Pressed .Chokers are so on trend right now and are a fun way to give your look a 90's vibe. April Janai, of fashionablynotpressed.com , is the mastermind behind this and many other pieces of neck candy. They also boast a modest price tag to fit the budget of your most frugal of budgetnistas, myself included. To see more of her amazing pieces and order details be sure to follow her on IG @fashionablynotpressed !! White has always been a go-to color for summer, so my dress is going to become one of my summer staples. To keep cool and to delay the frizz on my blowout, I grabbed my straw boater from H&M ($7, last year).I accessorized with my thrifted wooden bead bag and my cat eyes sunnies from Gojane.com which were a steal for $3.As much as I love a good heel, this casual summer look was more convincing with my pointed to lace ups flats from Romwe ($17, old).Stay tuned for more summer looks. I will be bring you all a double dose of off the shoulder inspiration and the best place to find summer looks for the low. Brightly colored crocheted flowers, short straps, heavy bottomed , with a nice clasp, and room for all the hard candy you can eat-- the characteristics if the perfect 'granny bag'. Once reserved for 'Golden Girls' , these bags are now one of the hottest vintage finds. My bag is nothing short of a great thrift find itself. It embodies all the elements of a granny bag and also boast nice worn leather straps. Gucci's 2016 Spring collection is doused in vintage, mod flair with modern silhouettes. From bold prints , luxe fabrics, and ornate designs Gucci has pulled out all the stops on its latest almost sold out collection. Some of their looks remind of what fancy blue hair ladies would don on the way to brunch , in the 70's (which I looooove!). I drew inspiration from their latest offering for today's look. My bomber (which I know how hot it is, but I had to wear it ok?! lol) is directly inspired by from the 2016 spring line's Embroidered Duchesse Bomber, which was purchased from Choies.com. I first wore this two posts ago , however this time I am adding more of a feminine flair. My two-tone skirt (Shein, $13) is a neoprene dream in an A-line shape that I paired with a Bordeaux camisole (Shein, $12).My gold strappy sandals from Shoedazzle ($10) seem to add a hint of metallic glam to my ensemble. The final touches included my very own granny bag(thrift $6) ,adorned with pom pom's in Gucci's signature color duo, and my dainty necklaces (pearl choker and bowtie necklace, Forever 21 old).It quickly got hot during shooting so I whipped that bomber off real quick like and slipped on my Dior 'so fake' inspired sunnies.I hope you can see the inspiration within my look. I posted some of the looks from the Gucci spring line as well. Stay cool ! I'm bombing again this week!! Before that good ol' blowout destroying ,thy sticking, and 'I am not air conditioning the whole neighborhood, close my front door' weather arrives here in the NC I plan on getting my wears from my bombers. My latest is a satin-esque (it's really the twins: poly and ester, but who cares!) champagne and navy dream with koi embroidery. I didn't plan on buying another bomber, because it is sooo close to summer and well I have already described the NC heat, but Romwe sent me a 65% coupon. Seeing that as a sign from God, I quickly clicked on "My Favorites" to go to the site. With my coupon the total came to $28, but God clearly knew how my account was set up because I 8 Freebies (1 freebie = $1) so I spent only $20 on this amazing jacket!! Even though it is a Chinese based retailer, it only took a week and half to get it *pelvic thrust. I am an avid lover a street style looks so I wanted to make bomber look , very fashion week. A statement always does a lot with out doing too much. I layered my 'stylin' tee with some chunky gold pieces which was unnecessary yet so necessary .Instead of going with a pair of jeans, I grabbed my chiffon wide leggers to lengthen my legs and to keep cool. As these pants were made for someone who is obviously a blessed with long legs, so I had to make sure my heels could pull overtime. Matching my lippie (which ColourPop ultra matte in LAX btw) ,my burgundy heeled sandals from Zara (which I have never worn and are 2 years old) seemed to get the job done.
