I am so over this week, like you don't even know. I almost burned my house down and I could not get my site to work all night. So here I am at work, on the clock, posting. Honestly, I.do.not.care. All my cares are gone, they are burned up and melted like that plastic container I left on the stove by accident. Two days later and my house smells like a plastic factory. Ugh, I'm just gonna have to throw the whole house away and start over. So if you read my Chilli's parking lot mêlée on Monday then you know I was forced to shoot my looks for the week while I waited to get my car serviced. After obliging to slay the parking lot at Chilli's I needed another location to shoot. Low and behold there stood K-Mart. I'm crushed they are all going out of business, but not too much they were hella expensive. Frankly, I only went there because that is where all the Little Caesar's pizzas used to be. Aaaaaaanywaaays, so I am giving Valentine's day goodness at 90's relic and carrier of Martha Stewart's overpriced towels. This look was incorporates the vintage resurgence in modern day fashion. It could have easily been 1988 and this outfit would just as cute.Ruffled blouse +jeans (jacked up to my crotch and zipped to my belly button)+block heel =the perfect chill V-day look and the only math I can stand. My look is clearance and thrifted. My ruffled blouse and block heels are from Top Shop (they are slowly winning me over with their Free-Shipping-having-ass self! I am a whore for free shipping, but who isn't?) and are now sold out. My fur coat is my most prized thrift possession and was found a yard sale 11 years ago for $5 (don't hate)!.My #DIYD pants are thrifted Levis I recently purchased for $2 at my local thrift store. I'm such a lucky duck in these thrifty streets. So what about that damn bag?! I know , I know it's cute or whatever *flips hair.It was snagged last week from Zara's semi-annual sale for $15.99.I stalked this bag for weeks as it was regular priced at $60, so as soon as it was marked down I threw it in my online cart and paid.I 'm quite disheartened at the quality. The bag I received looks like a reject; glue everywhere, not properly assembled ,and the clasp is already starting to not close. This bag is just like the week I have been having...it's pretty much trash.Over IT! Why pay for it when you can DO IT YA DAMN SELF? #DIYD The idea my pants came from the pants (pictured right).I saw them and was like "ooh that's cute, but not for $60!".Thus, I decided to them my damn self! Did I do a good job? Supplies you will need: My ribbon bows are from Walmart ($2.50 ,shop here) I only needed 3 packs. I used the Aleena's Fabric Fusion which is available at Walmart as well.I made sure the pants were clean and once I decided how I wanted to place the bows I placed a healthy lil dollop (I refuse to say dab. I'm over that word. forever) of the fusion glue directly to the pants and then placed the bow on top.I applied pressure for about a minute until the bow did not move.I let the pants dry over night and dig the 'tug' test to make sure the bows were secure and that was it! I was done and I did it by my damn self! *pats self on back Shop my red aviators from Zero UV for $9.99 (here, free shipping alert for my free shipping sluts!) Check out these cute Valentines Day shoes! I have listed the splurge and save option , cuz you know I like to provide options (even if I can't afford them) Click each pic to shop each piece So are you excited about the ruffle craze as much as me?! I think it's safe to say ruffles will be here a few seasons. Not only does it add texture to any look, but also a dash of classic femininity. I'm pretty sure there isn't a body type that doesn't look good in a little bit of ruffle.
Below are some of my fave ruffle pics for V-day Click each pic to shop
