I have been feeling blue all week--literally feeling the color blue! I think I will really be adding all the hues of blue in heavy rotation this Fall and Winter. From my pastel Blue Embroidered Moto Jacket , to the Navy Floral Embroidered look from Wednesday, and today's Baby blue-hued Jumpsuit I have be showing my appreciation for this color all week. I have been feeling nostalgic about my good ol' college days and doing research papers (is that weird? lol), so I decided to do a little research on the color blue. According to www.colormatters.com blue is the #1 favorite color of all people worldwide. While it doesn't specify the most popular shade, based on the significance of the color I can see why it is reigning color king. Dark blue signifies authority, intelligence, and trust which is why the dark blue suit is such a common occurrence in the business world. Light blue (in reverence to sky blue) holds a more spiritual other realm-ness. It is used to represent traquility, peace, and serenity-- all feelings that are reflected when just sky or cloud watching. Over time the complexities of the color meaning have shifted its meaning from that of serenity and power to feelings of sadness. This can be attributed to the American culture and specifically the musical genre , the 'Blues".Up, down, high or low, regardless of how it makes you feel blue stands on its on as a power tone.Let's get into the look shall we..... My powder blue jumpsuit is one definitely for the ages! It's halter neckline enhances the shoulders while flaunting that sexy back, and the deep-v keyhole allows for just the right amount of cleavage (if you have it...I don't. but it's all good). What makes this jumpsuit so standout is the open-split legs. You don't walk in this jumpsuit, you float. The open split-legs give the illusion of a flowy dress, from behind and once you see the front-- BAM! NOTHING BUT LEGS!! Check this powder blue power piece jumpsuit for less than $50 on www.incantareboutique.com. Powder blue outfit, transparent heels....I have totally heard of that look before.... Cinderella may have been the first to do it, but I have brought it into the new millennium. With heavy hitters like Dior and Yeezy bringing the Lucite/Perspex heel to the runway long are the days of clear heels being reserved for the ladies of the 'pole'.My Perspex heeled clear sandals are truly an eye-catching gem.Inspired by Yeezy's Lucite Heels which fancy a $595 price tag, I grabbed my Lucite look-for-less from www.Ego.co.uk .I just was not up for splurging on a shoe that has straps that can be melted with a cigarette lighter or slashed with scissors (to each his own).My Ego Perspex sandals boast a more reasonable price of $39.75.The shoes on Ego come in whole sizes. I wear a 7.5US so I went a size up. The only issue I have with my discount Cinderella sandals is that my toes slide off the front. This can be fixed with some inserts I hope. The verdict is still out on this lol. Since I was keeping it clear in the footwear department, I followed suit with my clutch.Shop it here for $18.So are you feeling blue too or is it just me?
