Brightly colored crocheted flowers, short straps, heavy bottomed , with a nice clasp, and room for all the hard candy you can eat-- the characteristics if the perfect 'granny bag'. Once reserved for 'Golden Girls' , these bags are now one of the hottest vintage finds. My bag is nothing short of a great thrift find itself. It embodies all the elements of a granny bag and also boast nice worn leather straps. Gucci's 2016 Spring collection is doused in vintage, mod flair with modern silhouettes. From bold prints , luxe fabrics, and ornate designs Gucci has pulled out all the stops on its latest almost sold out collection. Some of their looks remind of what fancy blue hair ladies would don on the way to brunch , in the 70's (which I looooove!). I drew inspiration from their latest offering for today's look. My bomber (which I know how hot it is, but I had to wear it ok?! lol) is directly inspired by from the 2016 spring line's Embroidered Duchesse Bomber, which was purchased from Choies.com. I first wore this two posts ago , however this time I am adding more of a feminine flair. My two-tone skirt (Shein, $13) is a neoprene dream in an A-line shape that I paired with a Bordeaux camisole (Shein, $12).My gold strappy sandals from Shoedazzle ($10) seem to add a hint of metallic glam to my ensemble. The final touches included my very own granny bag(thrift $6) ,adorned with pom pom's in Gucci's signature color duo, and my dainty necklaces (pearl choker and bowtie necklace, Forever 21 old).It quickly got hot during shooting so I whipped that bomber off real quick like and slipped on my Dior 'so fake' inspired sunnies.I hope you can see the inspiration within my look. I posted some of the looks from the Gucci spring line as well. Stay cool !
