Ciao mi amici!! Hello there friends, it's ya girl Caribbean Cowgirl again dishing on the latest and greatest. As you can see here I am flaunting on the coast of a romantic little Italian village or island, Sicily maybe? Well, I am not. This isn't Dolce and Gabbana either. Don't act like you don't already know how my budget is already set up. I got this dress a few years ago from my go -to inspiration plug, Shein. It was $10! Yea, they.the.plug. This is my first time wearing it on the blog just because I have a lot of stuff and I wanted to make sure I had to best way to style this dress. It is inspired by the D&G 2013 Spring Sicilian Folk Collection. The line was influenced by the folklore of the island including it's tradition of ornate puppet shows. As you can see this collection was bursting with rich , and robust hues of red, blue, and yellow. It was a very festive and memorable collection. Scarves dripping in tapestry images , accessories laden in color saturated raffia pom poms and fringe, and wicker structured bags were all the complimenting pieces to cement this sartorial tribute to Sicily. Check out some of the pics from the ss2013 fashion show below. I strayed a bit from the season, but in D&G fashion I kept things festive, ornate, and heavy.Since 2013 they have added the gold chunky cross earring heavily in their rotation. So I took my cold medallion shoe clip-ons(thrift) and clipped them on the collar of my button down which was layered under my sheath dress. Blue and white stripes shirts are the new white button down, so expect to see on almost every week on the blog lol. I have like 7 (that's terrible, but I need all of them--I actually need maybe one more). I kept in mind the structured bag concept and primary color palette. My cigar box bag (thrifted) seemed to be the perfect accessory to compliment my Sicilian spring ensemble.I tied a colorblock scarf around the handle because, well...fashion! I skewed away again by wearing red sandals with pearl accents, but I just got these sandals and I gonna wear them out! lol You can still snag them from Romwe here. Use code LOVING70 for 70% off your purchase of $50 or more! Shop similar accessories below. My Nasty Gal cross earrings are below and you can get 40% off using code NASTY40.I added another pair of sandals because these are just too cute! Shop by clicking each pic Me and my vintage gal-pal blogger babe @krystledesantos are putting out bids in to be in the next D&G runway show.I mean shit they got everybody else up there! Why not throw some bloggers up in that bih?! This is my campaign.I am running for Mrs. D&G 2017! *laughs in high fashion and continues to dream my life away in editorials.Do you think I would have a chance? As I have been saying since I started the blog, Shein is theeee plug .They are a great way to build up your wardrobe with seemingly high-end looking pieces for prices even lower than Zara *gasps and clutches pearls. My dress is long gone, but I offered some fun Dolce infused prints still available on Shein starting at $23! Okay guys, since we are getting quite chummy I am gonna tell you about my day yesterday. It started pretty ok, but then I saw my friends on Facebook and co-workers celebrating new ventures and promotions they received. Two of my faves from work just got new jobs are leaving me in this dump. As happy as I was for them I felt a knot forming in the pit of my stomach. I was confused. "Am I jealous?", I thought. Surely not. I applaud everyone's greatness. So I proceed to check my email and patiently wait for good news from some blogger affiliate programs and fashion magazines only to see a 'declined' email and 'we don't do blogger features' reply from a magazine I submitted to. This only added to my new found stomach knot. Everybody out here winning , but my ass! I go too hard to get a damn win! I'm done. I quit. I'm over this blog shit. Things I say to myself while sulking at my desk. On my lunch break I walk a mile to clear my head daily (the newfound highlight of my shitty 9-5) and call hubs to vent. "I just want to know this thing is really paying off" I manage to wheeze those words out while powerwalking. It literally only took him saying that he believed in me and encouraged me to get back to the grind to go from sulking to seeking . I immediately looked at those 'no's' as 'not right nows' and proceeded to reevaluate my approach and things I can do to make myself. I had been on the slacking tip when it came to getting my site built. I know that this is partly holding me back so I shake it off and email my developer to see what I need to get the ball rolling. I also began to strategize on how to monetize the blog moreso than now. This quick turn around after having a 'moment' gave me the push I needed to get my vibes and mind right.I'm all about vibes yall. Don't quote me on this or anything, but maybe there were things already in the works or maybe I turned this around that fast. I got 3 emails from 3 different companies reaching out to ME (Me yall!) for collaborations by 10pm last night! I do believe we get back what we give out. Maybe God heard my whining, but lemme tell you the universe was swift to show me "Ay girl you are needed and they see you outchea". I know things don't always happen that fast but, I said all this to say there is nothing wrong with feeling down on yourself.Just don't stay there. As soon as I typed this Ariana Grande's "Be Alright" started playing on my playlist. That's like the orchestra "wrap it up" from awards shows so yea, Caribbean Cowgirl out! #peace "Trouble don't last always bitch."

Ok first...YOU ARE FIYA! Your style is all that. Second, thank you so much for being so transparent about how you were feeling. As a new fashion/style blogger it is so hard sometimes to say positive when you see others 'movin' on up' as George Jefferson would say. I've only been doing this a short time, but the amount of work and time that we expend doing this is truly more than I ever imagined. I know the 3 YES's you got will be bomb and just know that 'no' really means 'not right now' because God always takes care of His children. Continue to be blessed and FLY my sister.
