As much as I love styling my own clothes, I am surprisingly having more fun collaborating and styling for up-and- coming companies. Maybe it's the pressure of representing a specific brand that pulls out all the creative stops for me.This one is especially dear to my heart as this will be my first collaboration with a boutique in my home state of North Carolina (Yayyyyy!).Located a few minutes from Wilmington ,in Leland, Coastal Couture Boutique is a becoming a local hot spot for high-end style at an affordable price. As much as I love my state, we have never been known as a hub for fashion, which I'm guessing is why local people always ask where I am originally from lol. Tinea Capri, owner and New York native, made the move to the 'First in Flight' and has made it her mission to bring a new fashion perspective to the Carolinas. The amazing look below is one of her best sellers. I am what you consider short (5'2'') so, I shy away from maxi pieces. This flower maxi, however, is the exception! I don't know what to say about this dress that can't be seen from the amazing visuals. This full length floral maxi gown has a tie waist and is composed of a pastel chiffon. It is also lined which makes it a perfect seasonal transition piece. The billowy sleeves are cuffed and adorned with gold buttons for sartorial emphasis. I wanted to play up the floral romanticism of the piece so I went full on garden goddess. I made a quick floral crown headband (will make a post ..stay tunes!) and it was perfection. My earrings are from Romwe.com ($3.80, old) and gave a nice boho, yet high fashion finish ;which I added my gold cuff (courtesy of mom) and my lace up sandals from Shoedazzle ($17,old) for the perfect gold finishes. I'm obsessed with my new fave red lip from Coloured Raine, so my pout is painted in Cherry Blossom.
