Here is the problem with being famous. It doesn't guarantee anything other than people knowing you. Knowing isn't respecting, and it certainly does not mean you are getting paid. Currently, we are in the age of being 'insta' famous. You all know what that is: hundreds of thousands of followers ,herbal tea laxatives, perfect luxe lifestyles, perfectly manicured nails, and the face beat by the GAWDS.I don't hate 'insta' fame and I surely don't envy it. Fame is like being trendy. I don't want to be a pair of clear Perspex boots (I'm not knocking them, I own a pair). They are nice and everyone will recognize you in them, but two years down the road the masses will hate them and shun you for them.
'Fashion is fleeting style is eternal'-Yves Saint Laurent. This is why I would rather be something a little more classic and signature. I want to be a Birkin. A Birkin bag is classic, and never gets old. It stands the test of time and will forever be a staple. I want to be a staple. I don't want to be a passing trend. I want to be a mainstay. As long as the right people know and recognize me that is all I truly care about.Like a Birkin bag, they are many who will try to replicate you but the time and quality put into your craft will be the determining factor.
I used to get discouraged when I see people increase my a million followers overnight(I'm purposefully being dramatic I was raised by a Capricorn mother), but then I realized 'hey that's good for them'. I have less than 5,000 followers averaging no more than 200-300 likes per post. To me that is impressive. I live in a nothing town (Garland) and state (North Carolina) not known for fashion icons (other than Andre Leon Talley, but he didn't do it living here). I'm not gonna stress the numbers or do giveaways to increase followers and sure as hell will not buy any (please y'all just...don't.We will eventually find out). That's not what I am about. I am about showcasing my style and bomb ass sense of humor. Quality over quantity is my goal. Fellow bloggers and creatives you don't have to do what everyone else is doing if you don't want to. Don't give into pressure. Do what you love with all your heart and passion and the right ones will eventually notice you.

My earrings are not paired like this. The chandelier was a set from H&M (sold out) and I just felt compelled to wear only one. Would you believe I saw a pair similar online to how I styled mine after I shot this look? I swear I'm the bomb! lol

Believe it or not, I did not realize this dress would match this stole perfectly. When you buy things constantly you will end up with happy accidents like this lol.
