You guys please don’t envy me or my life. I am a broke, messy broad who’s full of drama.I may look nice on the outside, but I am a stone cold bisshh on the inside. Okay, I’m lying. I have had my share of being messy though, but I didn’t go looking for the mess—it came looking for me *sit down kids its story time. So last year I was just getting into really making the blog serious, but I was still lacking in collaborations. My bank account was also lacking in funds so I only posted sporadically. Then one day it changed. I was making an order from a site (that shan’t be named for reasons you will find out later) and noticed it said I had some type of customer reward points p. So I head to checkout and attempt to use the points. It turns out 1 point =$1.Given I only had 8 at the time I was still elated that it was $8 of my money I could save , I used them without a second thought. Two thoughts later I’m thinking “how did I get these points?” and “how can I get more?”. I studied the site to see where the possible points came from ‘maybe I was a loyal shopper’, ‘maybe if I post a customer review?..’, ‘maybe by commenting on other customer reviews’, or ‘maybe a combo of all three’. Trust me, I tried all three. I did my research; I needed those points *clenches fist. After a month of ‘research’ I figured it out, JACKPOT! All I had to do was comment and vote on the pics of customers who already reviewed pieces they bought. I went to the reward points section to see if that was even a way to get points, but no it wasn’t there. All I said was 5 points for a YouTube review and ten points if you win best pic of the week. Apparently it was a programming oversight, but that was not my problem. Every day I made it my business to comment on those picture reviews, and wait for my points to come in the following week. At first it started with 60 points, but then I just said ‘hey why not more?’. After all I am a blogger and I neeeeeed clothes, you know for the blog.A light bulb then went off ‘I can use different email addresses!’, I mean I already had 3 I used for the site to get the new customer discount. This moment could not have come at a better time, as the system only allowed 5 comments per day. With the scammer blood running through my veins, I created 4 more accounts for a total of 7 and begin the ultimate blogger’s dream: free clothes-my choice. DHL was at my house at least twice a week with $200 orders or more that I got for free.99, all I did was pay for shipping. Now I know what you are thinking : what did you do with all that stuff and what kind of stuff did you get? Well I got all my friends at least on piece, because sharing is caring. A lot of the things I got were great! I racked up on jackets, shoes, makeup brushes, and accessories like purses (mostly).Things I can easily re-use and re-accessorize. Because the site was one from ‘overseas’ many of the pieces of clothing were not the best, so much of it was too small(or thin) and was given to my local goodwill. Much of it, I still haven’t worn. So while many of my readers thought I was balling out with all the goodies I was posting in my stories, IG, and on the blog the gag is I was loading up on free goodies. Week after week, I was receiving hundreds of dollars of swag. I kept my little freebie secret for months. I knew it wouldn’t last forever ,all good things must come to an end .The way it came to an end though… I was just waiting on my next shipment *birdman hand rub and I receive an email from the company asking me how I got all those points. My heart sank into my scamming chest, I was bout to go to jail yall! I deleted that email so quick! They then said they were placing a hold on shipping my order. Bisshhhhh, I was bout to do Fed time! Then one night I was in bed (praying they would forgive me and send my last scam order), and all of a sudden my phone rang. Girl, they was calling my ass all the way from China! It was official, they were gonna extradite me to China for my crimes. The first thing I heard was ‘how did you get all of those points?!’.I don’t like people in my business so I played it coy with a ‘I’m, sorry who IS this?’.I wasn’t here for the games so I hung up ,acting like my signal was bad. My nerves were shot and so were my chances of my final order and my freedom. I was going to serve hard labor annnddd they were keeping my order. Time passed (like a snail) and no Federal Marshalls knocked down my door to pick me up.I also saw that my order had shipped a week later. You can’t keep a good scammer down kids! It was good while it lasted, but shortly after my scare they sent out an email stating they were discontinuing their rewards point program. They never said why though—weird ,huh? My retail rack-em-up lasted a good 5 months. Don’t ask me how money the stuff I have was worth.Pricewise on the site it was maybe three to four thousand, but based on the quality of most of the pieces, they only lost about $300.I .have.no.regrets. Would I do it again? Probaly not – I can’t fit those Chinese sizes now that I’m pregnant.Did I learn anything? Absolutely. A lot of People don’t care about what happens in your real life, only how fabulous you appear online. As a blogger this worked in my advantage. Many companies thought I partnered with this company and they wanted to partner with me because of that.On the other hand, so many people were just drooling over my ‘things’. They are just things really ,knockoff things at that. I got many followers from looking a certain way because it appeared I have certain things or led a certain life. I guess that attention can get easy to get used to, I mean look at all the IG scammers frontin’ in designer goods with their ‘back alley booties’ bought with stolen credit cards ;all for likes. Like I stated in my previous post, its easy to garner attention online depending on how you look.I don’t want to be praised just for how I look though. I am a person of substance (scamming aside).I care about helping people and have the best sense of humor this side of the Mississippi.I share my style not for envy, but for inspiration. I know that last paragraph took a turn from scamming for free clothes to not doing it just for ‘likes and envy’.There was a point to that.My point is never wish for someone else’s life online. You can appreciate the way they look without getting caught up in the ‘hype’.You never know how they got what they have or why they don’t have what you think they have. You can never know someone’s full story by looking at their clothes.Like I said earlier I’m a broke, messy broad full of drama lol. I have retired from scamming and gone back legit, buying things with money(still not a full price though).#Scammingfortwo is just not that appealing.Today's look was inspired by blogger Skinny Hipster who is also #slayingfortwo. I spotted her in this dress on her IG . I quickly went to her blog as fast as my fingers and 4G internet would let me and bought this dress with any hesitation.I mean, can't you see why? Not only is it the perfect maternity dress that is not actually maternity, but the fabric is rich! The jacquard material is made with a sheen that compliments its color scheme of gold, white, and black horizontal stripes. It can be worn as a dress or even a top! Stay tuned because next season I will be showing how this dress can be layered for fall and winter. Shop my look below (my purse was long sold out p.s. I was one of my most prized scams! lol) See more pics below of my legit slay lol!! Scamming for--- err I mean Slaying for two. #15weeks
