"Okay ladies now let's get in formation!" -me talking to my curls This was the second look I shot in the cold and rain on Saturday and my hair was struggling to keep it together, it seemed.Honestly looking at these pics I like the frizz on my curls. It's like a cute little curly mop. *Sidenote: Am I giving Sherry Lewis from Lambchop vibes?! lol I think so, and I love it! But really, don't we all just love to hate our hair while at the same time loving it? Surely, I can not be alone. It has taken almost 3 years to overcome that terrible blowout that heat damaged my 4c coils *cries in kinky hair.I got a blowout a month ago and I washed my hair and was so scared because I remembered what happened before. As I let the water seep into and saturate my strands , I noticed some long hanging pieces."Oh hell nawww, not again!" I thought to myself.I was distraught, do you hear me?!! I said a little prayer and continued to wash my hair and slowly watch my curl retract.GOD IS GOOD! During the Dark Ages (e.i. my hair recovery and regrowth period) , I learned to lean on techniques from one amazing curl envious Caribbean Queen. Charmaine is a vlogger and all around fashion bombshell. She is a colorful , curly , and all around free spirit who does it all ;hair, makeup, DIY's and fashion . Through her vids she shares her hair ups and downs and provides a calm voice of reason to those with distressed tresses. She is the sole reason I switched over the wig side! lol I mean the girl knows a wig! Shop my look below Sock/lycra boots have been seen all over the runway the last few seasons from the likes of Yeezy, Celine, Balenciaga and a few others.I have found my top 3 bargain buys below. Click the pic to shop the boot I'm really digging the color red for Spring! I just am.I am also digging 'ruffle' any and everything, if you all haven't noticed. So when I spotted this dress on H&M I was like 'yeeaaaaaaa', but when I received it and put it on I was more like "well...okay".Look, I'm not a curvy girl by any means so when I say this dress is narrow, I aint lying. That's the only downside to online shopping at times;the fit.I'm not quitter, so I will not be giving up on this dress (and I highkey hate returning items online, the hassle yo *rolls eyes). As the Bajan babe is one not to shy away from any color or style, or great find this outfit was inspired by her. From the curls to the ruffles,my cigar box bag, to the cute ankle booties (I'm sure Charm would approve).I also felt a little but like Diana Ross.Look, I love that woman! She is life! People at work tell me I look like her and it has really gone to my head (I'm typing this is full ball gown in fur coat...mink, beeyotch!). Follow Charmaine on IG @Charmsie or head over to her YouTube Channel Miss Charmsie .She is also learning to master her latest; being a mommy!! Yayyy!! Here are a few pics of Mama Spice herself!

Oh lovely, your hair looks great like this. I have only recently decided to go natural and big chopped my hair myself, for a long time I was doing my weaves myself because I knew my hairdresser would convince me to relax it. I boycotted her and let my hair do its thing underneath the weaves. And I must say it is one of the best things I have ever done, I am still at the baby stage with no clue on what products to use and how to style other than doing a top bun that leaves me with pancake face. No amount of contouring is saving my pancake face. I know I need to try a dozen products to find one that works but that sounds stressful and expensive. I won't lie, I loathe the sock shoe trend, perhaps because the heel does nothing for one's calf muscles. although yours is popping. Keep bringing the heat hunnie. I love your work. xx
